“IF YOU EVER WANT TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL IN THIS WORLD THEN YOU MUST OWN YOUR OWN EDUCATION. NO ONE ELSE CAN LEARN FOR YOU. YOU CONTROL YOUR FATE. YOU AND YOU ALONE.”
Reeves Room epitomizes the best of education. It proves that learning can be made accessible for all students regardless of their background, competency levels, and learning styles. Every student has the capacity and the desire to learn; this desire comes to life when students encounter engaging lessons in the classroom on a daily basis. At Reeves Room student engagement is our number one priority.
“Together we can do something wonderful…” ~ Mother Theresa
“What is history? An echo of the past in the future; a reflex from the future on the past.” ~ Victor Hugo
My Mission
TEACHING with love & passion
As a child, my father said, “Son, if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.”
To Inspire
“To fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.” – Oxford Dictionary
Step: 1 of 3
Filling students with the urge to create
To Equip
“To prepare (someone) mentally for a particular situation or task.” Oxford Dictionary
Step: 2 of 3
Supplying students with the skills and knowledge necessary to be prepared for college and careers.
To Empower
“To make (someone) stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights. To give (someone) the authority or power to do something.” Oxford Dictionary
Step: 3 of 3
Making students stronger by giving them the power to own their own education, to be masters of their learning and their knowledge.

HISTORY AS NARRATIVE
It is my belief that story-telling is an art-form and imagination is our only limitation. History, like fairy-tales “come to life” when students find connections between the narrative of history and the story of their lives.
EVERYONE CAN LEARN
The idea that everyone can learn is not merely something I say, but something that I deeply believe. It is with this core belief that I structure my classroom as being a student-centered classroom.
ENGAGEMENT DRIVEN EDUCATION
Whenever students are engaged, learning takes place. Consequently, my lessons are carefully planned and structured with the intent of promoting high interest levels. As a result, students discover that learning is fun.
